Family Empowerment Program
The Family Empowerment Program, established in 2002, is an important program that provides support for parents from our community. Our goal is to create strong parents who will build loving households and raise God-loving youth. The program offers monthly parenting classes and family nights; annual parents’ retreats and family picnics; Bible studies for women and men; benevolence support (food, clothing, and shelter assistance); priority shopping at our Christmas Store, and ongoing family support.
The Family Empowerment Program recently hosted its annual Parent Retreat. To read more about it, click here.
Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. ~ Proverbs 1:8 Changed Lives:
Nearly 50% of homes are single-parent, female-headed in the neighborhood Many parents we serve have never had a positive parental role model – they haven’t been equipped for success On average, the age of parents we serve is 32 and they have 4 children each There are approximately 50 parents who regularly attend at least one of the classes, Bible studies or workshops offered by the Parenting Program
