Reach the City

Students in the UYI Acting Group wrote, memorized and performed monologues during a recent "Reach the City" presentation.  I hope you are inspired to see how these young ladies hope to reach their city with hope and love!

Jonella

Outgoing with a lot of things, that’s what people say about me…..Jonella.  I enjoy my community.  It is quiet and many people to reach.  There are those who need help and I could be the one to give advice.  Our world needs more holiness and God has a plan to fix it.  He wants me to help Him with His plan in order to reach the city in a peaceful way.

Frantasia

My name is Frantasia.  God has made me pretty and smart.  In this world, there are people who need a home.  I want to do something to help them.  God has a plan to use my life for Him.  Our world needs more love.

Dahlia

Our world needs more help and God has a plan to support them.   We need to end violence and littering.  Our responsibility is to care for the Earth God has created.  He wants me to praise Him in order to reach the city in a new way.  Beautiful.  Good.  Helpful.  Created with a purpose.  That’s me, Dahlia.

Jasmine

Jasmine.  Concerned about her community.  If I could change something about it, it would be the violence.  Our world needs more of God’s spirit and peace.  God has a plan to help us with the problem.  He wants me to pray for our world to change.  Loving and silly, He has created me to impact my community for His glory.

Synai

I enjoy singing, acting and getting good grades.  Synai.  In my community there are positive things like my church.  There are also negative things like gun shots.  I want to change the violence.  God wants me to make a difference.  He has created me to help others.  All we need is more of His love.

Nadia

Nadia is the name…..and goofy is my game!  God has created with me with a love of laughter and a desire to share it with the world.  I can be used in my community.  Our world needs more peace and a little laughter would go a loooooooooooong way.  God wants to make His love known through me.  He wants me to be the best I can be…..one laugh at a time.
