Larry Hicks - Transportation Manager/Property Maintenance
Larry is responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all UYI vehicles, planning and scheduling vehicle usage for our various programs and driving the bus. He says his fringe benefits are high fives, fist bumps, and hugs! Larry also works with Terryon Chapman on building upkeep and preventative maintenance.
Larry has been married to his lovely wife, Jeneen, since 1978. They are the parents of twins, Jennifer (husband Alex, and newborn son, Benjamin), and Matthew. Their youngest, Caleb, and his wife, Jenn, have two sons, Conner and Logan.
Larry and his wife are native Western New Yorkers, where they lived until being called to minister in West Palm Beach in October of 2010. Larry accepted Christ as his Savior in May of 1984. In the spring of 2000 God called him to work in Street Ministry, where he volunteered with the Care-A-Van ministry for 10½ years. Two years after being permanently laid off from a job in the secular world, God opened the door at UYI and Bow Down Ministries.
Larry and Jeneen are big baseball fans, as they have attended over 600 games over the past 25 plus years, mostly at the Minor League level. Larry is also the Transportation Director and Outreach Director for Bow Down Ministries. "I praise God for the opportunity to serve Him, through the people in West Palm Beach." He is very much at home here.
