Andrew Cornell - Director of Operations
Andrew is the Director of Operations. In his role, he is responsible for operations oversight, as well as the year-round work program and a mentoring initiative. He has a passion for seeing youth reach their potential and loves to pull their best out of them.
Andrew came to Urban Youth Impact from a career with Chick-fil-A. From 2008-2010, he was an Owner/Operator of a local Chick-fil-A franchise. Prior to that, he was the General Manager of a local location for a year and a half. He knows it comes across as borderline crazy to leave Chick-fil-A - nobody does. Andrew loved his time with the company and has no doubt that he was meant to spend four and half years with them. He learned a tremendous amount about running a business, developing leaders, and coaching young people. After a year-long journey with Lyndsey of feeling that God was calling them away from their career dreams, he started at Urban Youth Impact in May of 2011. He loves the journey they are on.
Andrew graduated Cum Laude from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and Marketing. He is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi national honor society. He loves coming up with creative ideas and solving critical problems. He enjoys developing leaders and seeing teams "gel".
Andrew married his incredible wife, Lyndsey, in 2006. They had their first child in 2010, an active little girl named Kate. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He loves having fun and won't turn down a party - work hard, play hard. Andrew will challenge you in any sport and loves competing. He loves playing basketball and has been a golfer most of his life. He is an eager learner and spends a good amount of time reading. It is likely that you will see him driving around West Palm Beach rapping in his car. He has also been known to dance fairly well at weddings.
